Youth Event

We had our first successful ECSAC youth event on Sunday 12/4/2022 in Alexandria, Virginia. We invited volunteers from the Fall Ethiopian Festival of 2022 to express our appreciation for their contribution to the successful event and to discuss their future role in ECSAC. We had a very productive discussion. Thank you again to everyone who attended!

The goal of ECSAC is to create space for Ethiopian youth across the DMV to connect with one another and meaningfully serve communities in need. We hope to foster friendship, mentorship, stewardship, and leadership within our youth. ECSAC also strives to create spaces and provide numerous opportunities for our second-generation Ethiopian Americans to form a very strong community, and connect individuals who are deeply aware and proud of their diverse Ethiopian cultural background. Our aim is to establish a well-informed, engaged Ethiopian community member capable of pulling and supporting their young and the newly arrived.
